[ARCHIVED] Milling work along 23rd Street Thursday in preparation for storm sewer line work

A Battle Creek city street map showing the milling work as a solid, black line along 23rd Street.

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — City contractor crews, from Lakeland Asphalt, will be milling a section of 23rd Street today, Thursday, Aug. 10.

This milling work is in preparation for city sewer crews to later repair a storm sewer line on 23rd Street, at the intersection of 23rd and Terry Court.

The specific section of 23rd Street that will be impacted by this milling work is:

  • 23rd Street South, from Sanwood Drive to Terry Court

There are no expected road closures during this milling work. Neighbors will still have access to and from their homes; however, we do ask that neighbors living along this stretch of 23rd Street do not park along the roadway so that the milling work can proceed uninterrupted.

Crews expect this milling work to be completed by 7 p.m.

We appreciate everyone’s patience during all work on our city’s infrastructure.
