The outside traffic lanes in both directions of Capital Avenue SW will be closed starting today, Oct. 11, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation.
The lane closures will last two to three days so a contractor can install fencing on the Capital SW bridge over I-94. This is one of the final pieces of the project to completely rebuild the bridge, which started in early July. The bridge reopened Sept. 30.
The lane closures will extend from just north of Knapp Drive, to just south of Beckley Road.
Pedestrians will be able to cross the bridge during this work, and all other work to finish up this project.
Please be alert for this work happening on the bridge.
