BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — City crews will work on repairs to the blue bridge along Battle Creek Linear Park through Friday, Dec. 15, resulting in a temporary closure of a section of Linear Park.
The specific section of Linear Park impacted by this temporary closure is:
- Linear Park along the Kalamazoo River, between M-37/South Bedford Road and Stringham Road
The repair work will involve crews removing the existing wooden deck of the blue bridge, along Linear Park in this area, and replacing it with new wood.
Work hours will generally be from 7 a.m.-2 p.m. each day, with crews expecting the repair work to be completed by Friday, Dec. 15, depending on any weather-related delays. This section of Linear Park will reopen once the repair work is completed, as well.
