Other information: The Battle Creek Fire Department was dispatched to a reported structure fire at 68 Upton Ave. Rescue 2 and Car 3 arrived to find smoke showing from the structure with a fire in the front room.
A hose line was deployed and the fire was quickly extinguished. Due to the quick actions, the fire was contained in the room of origin. Truck 1 forced entry. Engine 3, Engine 4, and Rescue 6 assisted with support functions.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the fire marshal. No injuries were reported.
