Other information: The Battle Creek Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire at 450 W. Michigan Ave. Rescue 2 arrived to find multiple small fires throughout the vacant commercial building. Car 3 arrived to assume command. Rescue 2 gained entry and extended a hoseline, with Engine 5, to extinguish the fires. Engine 4 extended a hoseline to extinguish a fire on the north end of the building. Truck 1 checked for additional fires and ventilated the structure. Rescue 6 also checked for additional fires. The fires were extinguished within 15 minutes. Engine 3 responded to other rubbish fires in the area. The fire is suspicious and is under investigation by the Fire Inspector.
