Fire trucks and personnel will be training in the Battle Creek River this week, in the area of RiversEdge Ice Cream and Popcorn on McCamly Street, in downtown Battle Creek.
Training will take place throughout the day on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, Aug. 9 to 11. About a dozen people and various equipment will be on-site all day on these training days.
Firefighters will train on swift water rescue techniques, including boat rescue, body retrieval and throwing rope.
