BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — Battle Creek’s annual Winter Wanderland holiday events kick off on Friday, Dec. 6, and continue through Saturday night with numerous activities planned across downtown Battle Creek.
This year’s special events include a Holiday Night Bazaar, horse-drawn carriage rides, a holiday tree forest, and mini–Polar Express train rides.
The same events will be held on Saturday, Dec. 7, with the addition of the Tinsel Toes 5K beginning at 5:30 p.m. and a BBBC Holiday Concert beginning at 7:30 p.m. at W.K. Kellogg Auditorium.
Due to the number of events and anticipated attendance, it’s recommended that you plan to arrive early to avoid missing out on the fun. Here are some additional things to know before you go:
- The Tinsel Toes 5K will start and finish at Full Blast, located at 35 W. Hamblin Ave. There will be intermittent road closures between Hamblin Avenue and Van Buren Street West, and from Division Street North to Washington Street North.
- Live Nativity Battle Creek will perform a live nativity scene at 77 E. Michigan Ave. in the side yard of Commerce Point, Dec. 6-8. Performances begin each night at 6 p.m. and run every half hour, with the final performance at 8:30 p.m. Michigan Avenue will be closed between Division Street North and Capital Avenue NE each night during the performances.
