Bring your appetite to three upcoming fundraising meal events to help area law enforcement officials give local children a great Christmas season.
This is the fifth year for the Calhoun County Shop with a Cop program. Township, city, county and state law enforcement agencies work together to make the holidays happier for local children in need, taking them shopping for and helping them wrap holiday gifts. This year’s event will take place on Saturday, Dec. 10, with more details to come.
The fundraising opportunities are as follows:
· Saturday, Sept. 17 – pancake breakfast at the Albion Fire Department, 201 N. Clinton St., Albion – 8-10 a.m., $5 for all-you-can-eat pancakes, coffee and juice
· Saturday, Sept. 24 – pancake breakfast at the Marshall Fire Department, 1201 Arms St., Marshall – 8-10 a.m., $5 for all-you-can-eat pancakes, coffee and juice
· Monday, Oct. 3 – spaghetti dinner at the Emmett Township Department of Public Safety, 617 Cliff St., Battle Creek – 5-7 p.m., $15 for spaghetti, homemade meatballs, salad, bread, beverage and dessert
Tickets for the spaghetti dinner are available by calling the Battle Creek Police Department at 269-966-3322 or purchase them at the BCPD front desk, 20 N. Division St., during normal business hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Dinner tickets also are available at the Emmett Township DPS during normal business hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
