[ARCHIVED] West Michigan Ave at Commerce Pointe may close evenings this weekend

Downtown winter planter

To accommodate those viewing the live nativity downtown this weekend, crews may close westbound Michigan Avenue in front of Commerce Pointe, near where the event takes place.

The live nativity will be presented every half-hour from 6-9 p.m., Friday through Sunday, Dec. 16-18. The performance is free to the public.

During that time, crews may block traffic from westbound Michigan between Division Street and the drive connecting East State Street to Michigan, on the west side of Commerce Pointe. They will make the determination based on the size of the crowd each evening.

Those driving through the area are asked to be especially alert to pedestrians during performance times. We appreciate your care and patience.
