[ARCHIVED] Police seek information on missing BC man

Missing person Robert Barroso

Police are seeking information that may help them locate 28-year-old Robert Jason Barroso of Battle Creek, after finding his vehicle on Monday.

Barroso is a white male, 5’10” and 145 pounds, with shoulder-length brown hair and brown eyes. He has multiple tattoos on his left arm and one on his left ankle.

The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office located a 2006 Lincoln Zephyr, found to be registered in Barroso’s name, in rural Lee Township. The Battle Creek Police Department has investigated Barroso as a missing person since Dec. 27.

The Calhoun County Major Crimes Task Force was activated on Monday and continue to investigate. K-9 officers are actively searching the area where the vehicle was recovered.

The Major Crimes Task Force is comprised of detectives from the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office, Michigan State Police, Battle Creek Police Department, Emmett Township Department of Public Safety, Albion Department of Public Safety, and Marshall Police Department.
