[ARCHIVED] Intersection at Jackson/20th a four-way stop

Traffic signal

The intersection at Jackson and 20th streets is operating as a four-way stop situation today, after an electrical surge shut off power to the traffic signal in Tuesday night's storm.

The city is working with Consumers Energy to restore power, as Consumers must repair underground wires at the intersection.

The traffic signal at Dickman and Helmer roads is operating normally this morning after also taking an electrical surge Tuesday night, and crews were able to make the necessary repairs on Wednesday.

Some noticed the Dickman/Helmer signal in flash mode this morning; crews addressed this with an equipment settings change. We appreciate everyone's vigilance and urge caution when driving through intersections where signals aren't operating normally.
