The Michigan Department of Transportation will begin on Monday a resurfacing project with Goguac Street.
Crews will remove sidewalks and ramps on Goguac, between Carl Avenue and Capital Avenue SW. The work will take place from approximately 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and is expected to take two to three weeks, weather permitting.
Those driving through should be aware of temporary lane closures during work hours.
The Goguac work is part of an entire project that involves milling and paving this section of Goguac; McCamly Street from Van Buren Street to North Avenue; and Roosevelt Avenue from East Avenue to Garrison Street.
The streets are expected to be milled and paved in August, and more specific information will be released ahead of that time. Neighbors will be notified with door hangers. The entire project is scheduled for completion by Sept. 1.
