The city’s contractor on Wednesday will begin repairs to a failed sanitary sewer line and three failing sanitary manholes on East Roosevelt Avenue, between Garrison Road and East Avenue.
Work will begin at 6 a.m. Wednesday and continue for at least one week – potentially longer—depending on the conditions found once work begins.
Work will take place in the westbound lane, which will be partially closed to traffic. Due to the location of the infrastructure needing repairs, both traffic lanes will be shifted south, still allowing for two-way traffic.
Please drive slowly through this area, due to the congestion, and expect delays. City officials appreciate everyone’s patience during this and all work to maintain our infrastructure.
