[ARCHIVED] Utility customers asked to stay on the line for assistance

New city phone

The introductory phone message for neighbors calling into the city’s Utility Billing office isn’t working properly, but customers should stay on the line for customer service.

The issue started a few days ago, and city staff continue to work on a resolution.

Those calling in, or transferred from another department, may hear silence, the introductory message cut out, or the message cut in after a period of time.

Despite these inconsistencies, callers will remain in the service queue if they hold the line, and a city team member will take their calls as soon as possible.

Staff appreciate everyone’s patience as we work to investigate and resolve this phone issue.
