A city contractor on Friday will collect soil at the intersection of Michigan Avenue and Capital Avenue, in the downtown.
Soils and Material Engineers will collect soil borings at the intersection, as part of the plan to modernize traffic signals at the intersection in 2019.
Work will begin after 9 a.m. Friday, Feb. 23, and is expected to last most of the day.
Both roads will be open to traffic, but motorists are encouraged to avoid the intersection, if possible.
