Mattress Bags again available 

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — In solid waste news, the city again has plastic bags available for wrapping mattresses.

Neighbors can stop in Room 117 at City Hall, 10 N. Division, during regular business hours, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday through Friday; or the Department of Public Works, 150 S. Kendall, from 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m. The only requirements are to supply your name and address for record-keeping purposes.

We appreciate everyone’s cooperation when disposing of unwanted items. Proper disposal is essential for the health and safety of all residents, waste haulers, and the environment.

If you have additional questions regarding specific items and whether they can be placed at the curb, contact the city’s environmental program coordinator, Elizabeth Paul at 269-966-3355 ext. 1889.
