[ARCHIVED] Capital SW, Jackson intersection a four-way stop Thursday

Signal

Work to replace the traffic signal mast arms at Capital Avenue SW and Jackson Street continues on Thursday, July 26, with power going down to the signal.

City contractor J. Ranck Electric will power down electricity to the intersection’s signals as part of the transition from the old to the new signals. The power outage only affects the signals at the intersections.

The intersection will remain open, but will operate as a four-way stop while the traffic signals are not operational. This will be in place from approximately 7:30 a.m. until late afternoon or early evening on Thursday.

Please remain aware of traffic laws and four-way stop procedures, as well as temporary lane closures at the intersection. As always, work is weather dependent, and city staff appreciate everyone’s patience during work to maintain and improve our infrastructure.
