Fatal fire on Martha Dr. early this morning
BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — The investigation into the cause of a fire at 226 Martha Drive early this morning that resulted in a fatality of an elderly man and a family pet is ongoing.
Crews were called to 226 Martha Dr. at 3:59 a.m. this morning with a possible occupant inside. Five engines, one quad, and a command car responded to find heavy fire involvement in the main living quarters. Fire crews performed an immediate search and located a deceased elderly man and family pet.
The fire was brought under control and the investigation is ongoing.
