Milling/paving and sidewalk ramp replacement DELAYED


BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — This work is now scheduled to be completed by late afternoon on Monday, Sept. 17, weather permitting.

The city’s contractor, Lakeland Asphalt, will begin paving on Kendall St. S., between Dickman Rd. W. and Michigan Ave. W., on Monday at 7 a.m. Paving is expected to be complete by end of the day on Monday.

Lakeland Asphalt will begin the process of removing sidewalk ramps and milling/paving on Kendall St. S., between Dickman Rd. W. and Michigan Ave. W., tomorrow. Once the sidewalk ramp and curb work is complete, milling and paving will begin.

Work will take place from approximately 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Paving is expected to be complete by Saturday, Sept. 15, weather permitting.

Kendall St. S. will remain open to vehicles and pedestrians; however, it is strongly advised that motorists seek alternate routes. Motorists are advised to exercise caution around railroad tracks and to obey all flaggers and signs in the work zone.
