[ARCHIVED] Fire Department collects toys for The Salvation Army

The Battle Creek Fire Department is once again working with The Salvation Army to collect new, unwrapped toys to help local children have an extra-special holiday.

Six of the city’s fire stations will open their doors to the public to collect toy donations, with hours of 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. (with Station 1 open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.). Toys can be dropped off at any of the stations now through Tuesday, Dec. 18:

  • Station 1 – 195 E. Michigan Ave. (**open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.**)
  • Station 2 – 145 N. Washington Ave.
  • Station 3 – 222 Cliff St.
  • Station 4 – 8 S. 20th St.
  • Station 5 – 1170 W. Michigan Ave.
  • Station 6 – 2401 Capital Ave. SW

Thank you to everyone who supports this drive, and also the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots program, with collection boxes at the Police Department and City Hall (34 and 10 N. Division St.). We wish everyone a wonderful holiday season!
