For those filing local 2018 tax returns in Battle Creek, all mailed forms will come directly to the city.
In previous years, local taxpayers mailed city forms to Lansing. This helped the city save some costs as part of a grant with Lansing and several other Michigan cities, related to form and payment processing. This year, it will cost the city less to accept local tax returns directly.
This year, mail forms to Battle Creek City Income Tax, PO Box 1657, Battle Creek, MI 49016-1657.
Forms and instructions are available at the Income Tax Office, Room 114 at City Hall, 10 N. Division St. They also are available on the city’s website, with fillable PDF forms, at battlecreekmi.gov. Scroll down to the City Spotlight for a link to the Income Tax web page.
Electronic filing is available at www.municonnect.com/battlecreek. This site also is accessible through the Income Tax page on the city’s website.
