[ARCHIVED] Community invited to workshops about cycling, walking, kayaking

kayaking downtown

Please join us at one of these public workshops to learn about and engage in the City of Battle Creek’s effort to update the 2006 Non-Motorized Transportation Plan. This plan ensures bicyclists, walkers, kayakers/canoers, joggers, and others continue to have safe, accessible, and well-maintained routes around town.

Both workshops cover the same information, related to the 2006 plan and updates to come this year. Staff will collect input from attendees about the best features, and the barriers related to their own activities. Light snacks and beverages will be provided at both.

Saturday, April 27 – 10 a.m. to noon
City Department of Public Works; Multi-purpose Room 214
150 S. Kendall St., Battle Creek

Monday, April 29 – 6-8 p.m.
Central Christian Church; large meeting room
713 Riverside Drive, Battle Creek

If you can’t make it to one of the workshops, but want to stay involved in the process, contact project manager and City Planner Eric Feldt at 269-966-3320 or esfeldt@battlecreekmi.gov.

**A public survey also is live now -- please share your feedback with us -- https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/WWHND65 **

See more information, including the 2006 plan, at the city’s website, battlecreekmi.gov/planning. Scroll to Current Projects to find the Non-Motorized Transportation Plan update.
