Other information: Battle Creek Fire Department Rescue 4, Truck 6, Squad 6 and Car 3 responded to a commercial fire alarm at the Child Development Center (CDC).  Rescue 4 arrived to find the fire alarms activated with no fire or smoke showing.  The building occupants had been evacuated prior to arrival.    After investigation, crews found that an oven used for art project had caught fire.  A fire extinguisher was used to extinguish the fire and the oven was removed from the building.  The fire did not spread to the structure; it was contained to the oven.  Truck 6 and Squad 6 ventilated the smoke from the structure.  The Calhoun County Health Department was called to investigate since the kitchen was involved.  The building has been turned over to the CDC for normal business operations.
