At the request of Vice Mayor Susan Baldwin, the regular City Commission meeting for tonight -- Tuesday, March 1 -- has been cancelled, due to the ongoing winter weather.

The meeting may be rescheduled, and additional information will be released as it is available.

"Safety of our residents, staff and commissioners is a top priority," Baldwin said. "With the continued snow and sleet all afternoon, it's best that we cancel this evening's meeting to ensure everyone's safety, and also to keep our streets clear for the Public Works crews that will work diligently throughout the storm."

The meet-and-greet with new Assistant City Manager for Operations Ernesto Reyes also has been canceled. That event was set to take place ahead of the commission meeting. It also will be rescheduled and more information will be forthcoming.

Thanks for everyone's patience and please drive safely.
