Sanitary sewer televising continues

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — Routine inspection and cleaning of the city’s sanitary sewer system will take place on sections of Bedford Rd. S. and Dickman Rd. W. starting next week.

City contractor Taplin Group, LLC, will perform the work as part of the city’s routine televising and cleaning plan. “Televising” is inspecting the sanitary sewer lines using cameras. Cleaning takes place as needed.

All work will take place in public rights of way, and in sanitary sewer easements. Disruption to neighbors will be minimal, and streets will remain open to traffic, although, there may be some temporary lane closures.

Bedford Rd. S., between W. Michigan Ave. and W. Jackson St., will start on Monday, Sept. 23, at 7 a.m., and should be complete by Tuesday, Sept. 24, at 7 p.m., weather permitting.

Dickman Rd. W., between 20th St. N. and McCamly St. S., will start Tuesday, Sept. 24, at 1 a.m., and should be complete by Saturday, Oct. 5, weather permitting
