The city’s Recreation Department has great opportunities available now, for families seeking a safe, fun place for their children to spend time during the early winter season.

**If you want to shop for the holidays without your children, or could use a night out, sign up for our Parents’ Night Out opportunities in December. Staff will welcome children ages 5 to 12 from 5-9:30 p.m. each night on Fridays Dec. 6, 13, and 20. The cost is $20 per child, and $15 per additional child for each evening.

This event includes dinner (pizza, chips, and a drink), gym games, board games, crafts, and a movie with popcorn.

Register for Parents’ Night Out online at Click Registration at the top of the page and find this event under Youth Programs.

**Registration also is open for the city’s Winter Break Camp, a day camp for children ages 5 to 12 that includes sports, games, arts and crafts, and field trips. Children must eat breakfast before coming to camp, and bring a cold sack lunch each day. Staff will provide a daily snack.

This camp runs from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily on Dec. 26, 27, 30, and 31; and Jan. 2 and 3. The cost is $30 per day, or $150 for all six days of camp.

Register for Winter Break Camp online at Click Registration at the top of the page and find this event under Camps.

Both of these programs are at Full Blast, 35 Hamblin Ave. Call the Recreation team with questions, or for more information, at 269-966-3431.
