Other information: Battle Creek Fire Department responded to a reported house fire at 59 Keith Drive. Engine 2 was on scene first and reported a working fire in the rear of structure. E-2 started fire attack and a primary search through a side door. Car 3, Battalion Chief, arrived and assumed command. Rescue 3 arrived, pulled a hose line, made entry through the front door and assisted with fire attack and primary search. The crews found the home was not occupied at this time. Two more engines, an aerial pumper, and a squad were also on scene. The basement, main floor, and attic were all involved in fire. The fire extended through the roof at the rear of the house. The fire was extinguished quickly. One firefighter is off duty with an arm injury, and two received minor injuries that did not require medical attention, from a floor that gave way. The fire is under investigation by Fire Marshal Jones.
