Citizens Police Academy
The Citizens’ Police Academy offers hands-on sessions that help Battle Creek neighbors learn how local law enforcement works, why we do what we do, and how we can build stronger partnerships for a safer community.

Cops & Clergy Alliance
The Cops & Clergy Alliance is a coalition of local religious leaders who partner with the Battle Creek Police Department to better understand the criminal justice system and the role of law enforcement. Through meetings, discussions, and collaborative activities, clergy members gain insight into police operations and help strengthen communication, understanding, and trust between the police department and the faith community. Police Explorer Program
The Police Explorer Program provides a career‑education experience for young people ages 14 to 20 interested in learning about policing and public service. Through the Learning for Life Explorer Club, participants gain exposure to law‑enforcement careers, develop skills, and engage in structured training and activities. The program encourages youth development, responsibility, and understanding of police operations while offering hands‑on learning opportunities.
