Local Coordinating Committee (LCC)

Purpose

Public Act 51 of 1951, as amended, (hereafter Act 51) requires there to be a local coordination of transportation services to the elderly and individuals with disabilities. The purpose of the Local Coordinating Committee (LCC) is to serve as an advisory body for the coordination and improvement of transportation services. The Local Coordinating Committee is also empowered to adjust Specialized Services funding between the current and new sub-applicants.


Members

Membership shall be representative of area agencies on aging, organizations representing specialized services interests, and agencies that provide public transportation services.    The Battle Creek City Commission, upon recommendation by the Battle Creek Area Transit, may by resolution appoint committee members.
