Boards, Committees, Commissions, & Councils

There are more than 50 boards, committees, commissions, and councils that assist neighbors in their interaction with our city government. They are appointed or elected positions, and the majority are volunteer in nature. It is through the assistance of these dedicated neighbors that we have broader representation in the business of government.

Each month, the city's Review Committee meets to consider applications for board and commission vacancies. The Review Committee is comprised of the Mayor, Vice Mayor, City Manager/Assistant City Manager, and the board/commission liaisons. The board/commission chairs are also invited to participate. Once the Review Committee recommends a new or reappointed member, the City Commission votes to give final approval.

Apply for boards, committees, commissions, and councils using our web form! Descriptions of each group are included in the application.
