Applicants recommended by a staff liaison are advanced to the city’s Review Committee for further consideration. The Review Committee meets monthly on the second Tuesday to review applications for board, committee, commission and council vacancies. The committee is comprised of the mayor, vice mayor and city manager. Staff liaisons and board or committee chairs are invited to participate and provide feedback on candidates.

Applicants recommended by the Review Committee are forwarded to the city commission for formal approval at the next regularly scheduled commission meeting.

City staff provide email updates to applicants throughout the process, including upon receipt of an application, following staff liaison review, after the Review Committee meeting and after formal approval. If there is not a current opening on the requested board or committee, the application is retained on file for one year.
